1: Dr Sajid Khan

LMC Chair

I am a GP at Church Lane Surgery and have worked there as a partner for the last 3 years. I have carried out all my medical training in West Yorkshire, having graduated from the University of Leeds in 2009, and completed my GP training locally on the Pennine Scheme. I have a keen interest in teaching, and I am directly involved with undergraduate medical education.

I am excited to join the LMC and hope to contribute in raising our profile locally as well as representing local GP interests.

I am a GP at Rosegarth Surgery having moved from Queens Road Surgery on the 1st Feb 2019. I have been working as a GP in Calderdale since 2001. Prior to this, I trained as a GP in Barnsley and worked in various practices across South and West Yorkshire as a Locum GP. I am a graduate of the University of Leicester Medical School. I was born in Singapore where I spent my childhood.

I have been a committee member of the LMC since 2012. I am a full time GP and I love my work, caring for my patients. I am a keen cyclist in my spare time.

I am a GP at Rastrick Health Centre and I have been working in Calderdale since 2014. I started my GP training with the Eastern Deanery in Kings Lynn and completed this in Birmingham West Country. I have interests in Dermatology and Contraception.

4: Mr Marcus Beacham

LMC Director of Operations

I joined the LMC in January 2019 to support the development of the committee. Previously, I held senior positions within Local Authority and Public Health Commissioning as well as the Third Sector.

I am now the Director of Operations for Calderdale LMC and I am responsible for the leadership and coordination of the LMC Support Team. This includes responsibility for the key functions required by the Company Secretary of a Limited Company. In my role I am responsible for providing leadership on business planning, liaison, communication, representation and support service management. I work closely with the Chair and Medical Secretary and I am included in the LMC Executive team with a responsibility for non-clinical matters.

9: Dr Nathan King

I recently CCT'd in August 2020 after completing my training with the Pennine Scheme. I have done all my postgraduate training in West Yorkshire after graduating from The University of Manchester in 2016. I wanted to become a GP from the start of Medical School and now that I am fully qualified, I have not been disappointed! I'm currently a part-time salaried GP at The Northolme practice and a part-time locum. I'm very excited to be joining the LMC and representing the interests of general practice in Calderdale. In my spare time I enjoy days out with my young family, personal fitness, reading and being a bit of a nerd.

10: Dr Dinesh Kumar MBBS

I completed my GP training with Pennine GP VTS and I have worked as GP in Calderdale since 2000. I joined PlaneTrees in 2016 and my interests include Diabetes Care and Information Technology in Healthcare.
I have been involved in LMC practice based commissioning and Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group over the last 10 years.
I believe in holistic care and preventive medicine.
In my spare time I enjoy Football and Formula 1

11: Dr Michaela Mensah

My name is Michaela Mensah, I am a GP at Keighley Road Surgery where I have worked for 4.5years and became a partner 2 years ago. I love the challenge and variety general practice provides. I enjoy all clinical work but have a special interest in female health and palliative care.
We are facing significant changes in general practice and the shape of the health service nationally. I am excited to be at the forefront of these changes with the LMC and hope to lead primary care services in Calderdale forward to a stable and sustainable future.

I have recently retired as a Partner at Spring Hall Medical Practice and I have been in Calderdale since 2000. Prior to this, I was a GP Partner in North London. I have an interest in Dermatology and I have worked as a GPwSI at Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust.

I have been a member of Calderdale LMC for over 12 years and I am a forward-thinker with a progressive approach.

14: Dr Jonathan Ring

I have worked at Stainland Road since 2018, where I am now a GP Retainer, and prior to that in both Kirklees (where I was also elected to the LMC) and Greater Manchester. I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2000. The pace of evolution and change of the 21st century NHS is unrelenting, and I believe passionately that General Practice should be at the vanguard of this. I enjoy the variety that general practice brings but have special interests around education and training as well as being one of both Calderdale & Kirklees CCG/Place’s Named GPs for Safeguarding. I also have roles as an RCGP Clinical Advisor, I am a member of the NICE GP Reference Panel, a GMC Associate and LCD Medical Director.

16: Dr Asif Yaseen

I have worked as a GP principal at the Boulevard Medical Practice since 2004. I enjoy teaching and I am a GP trainer at the practice. I am also chair of PGPA, the GP federation in Calderdale.
I look forward to working with my colleagues on the LMC to make things better for General Practice in Calderdale.

16: Davina McDonald

Liaison Project Officer

I joined the LMC in June 2020 as a PA/Administrator and I have recently accepted the role of Liaison Project Officer in July 2021. I have over 20 years of experience in the secretarial/PA, administrative, clerical and customer service fields, as well as an FDA in Hospitality and Management. Throughout the years, I have worked for the NHS at various locations such as Laisterdyke Clinic, The Boulevard Medical Practice, Bradford Hospital, Airedale Hospital and also the CCG. I am excited and looking forward to my new role at the LMC.
In my spare time I enjoy going to concerts, festivals, Comic-con’s, reading, travelling and experimenting in holistic therapies. I am a big food enthusiast and I love cooking and baking. I have appeared on Britian’s Best Dish representing Yorkshire, where I came 2nd in the country in the dessert category.
