Key Messages
a) 1/500 Appointments extended until 30th September 2020
The Second phase of General Practice Response - Update to GP Contracts letter was published on the 9th July 2020 and confirms that the increase to 1 appointment per 500 patients has been extended until the 30th September 2020.
b) Patient discharge leaflets from NHSE attached
The information in the leaflets has been superseded by the updated isolation guidance on gov.uk. Due to the possibility of recurrent guidance developments, they will not be updating the leaflets and would ask that any teams that wish to continue using them locally please update and validate them against the most recent advice.
c) YAS Patient Transport Service restart implementation plans for West Yorkshire

d) Education and training for NHS staff in community health services, supporting the response to COVID-19
Free, accessible education and training resources in a single place . These resources will ensure staff feel comfortable and confident in their roles during the pandemic and provide guidance in tandem with further support, including face-to-face training. Topics include PPE, infection control and other role-specific guidance.

f) Advance Care Planning & Communication Skills during COVID
The free interactive sessions are run by Overgate and will cover the following:
· Having conversations with patients/residents/clients and those important to them about their wishes for future care/support – including by telephone and/or videocall
· Picking up on cues and supporting people to talk openly about things that may be concerning them
· Recording and sharing people’s wishes for future care
o Tuesday 1st September 1pm - 3pm
o Thursday 1st October 3pm - 5pm
o Thursday 12th November 12pm - 2pm
