Leg Ulcer Guidelines Events

Vicky Storey, Senior District Nurse, is keen to share the key areas of learning from her leg ulcer guideline development work. 

Vicky has arranged the following sessions to update colleagues in the different localities: 

Mon 19th March         11 - 1.30 pm   Holiday Inn, Brighouse (Lower Valley) 

Tues  20th March       11.30 - 1pm    Beechwood Medical Centre, Ovenden (Central Halifax) 

Weds 21st March       12 - 1.30 pm  Grange Dene Medical Centre, Mytholmroyd (Upper Valley) 

Primary care colleagues are encouraged to attend any of the above sessions, each of which provide some educational element as well as networking and sharing of relevant information about making appropriate lower limb referrals. The flyers attached provide more details and can be downloaded to share with others. 

Vicky strongly believes that if we are able to ensure more timely referrals for patients with lower limb wounds, and we can assess and treat them sooner, we could significantly reduce wound healing times for many patients.

A lunch will be provided so catering numbers will need confirming.
