GP Contract Updates 2020-2024

February 2020 saw the publication of new requirements within the GP Contract that come in to force from April 2020. Included in these changes are three new specifications for delivery within the PCN DES, which include Structured Medication Review, Enhanced Health in Care Homes and Supporting Early Cancer Diagnosis. Significant changes have also been made to the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme with increased commitments to the funding arrangements. The new contract document also details wider changes for General Practice. These include increasing the numbers of GPs, releasing time to care, improving access, vaccinations and immunisations reforms, QOF updates, maternity service changes and introduction of the Investment and Impact Fund.
