This is an afternoon event.

Times: 13:00 - 15:30

Calderdale LMC has arranged FREE General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Training.

Wednesday 28th March 2018, 1 - 3.30pm.
Learning and Development Centre, Calderdale Royal Hospital.

The LMC would strongly recommend that GPs as well as their Practice Managers attend the training due to its major implications.

Basically, if your business has customers, clients or employees and you collect or hold/ information about them, you will need to demonstrate GDPR compliance. There will be no "phasing in" period with potential penalties of 20 million Euros in the event of a breach. Organisations have until 25th May 2018 to be compliant.

The training will be delivered by LMC Law.

While you are all there…

There has also been recent NHSE funding for Practice Manager development and the LMC would like to take the opportunity to share this with the practices. PMs are employees of the Practices and the GPs need to be involved to help develop one of their most valuable employees in the practice. A lot of work has gone into being able to provide coaching/mentoring for our Practice Managers and we
all need to be a part of the process to make it worthwhile.

The GDPR training has been organised at a time we hope both the doctors and PMs will be able to attend followed by a short session on Practice Management development.
