Calderdale Bladder and Bowel Service

 

The Continence Advisory Service has been rebranded and is now known as Calderdale Bladder and Bowel Service (Adults and Children). They have shared their new referral forms and a copy of their service leaflet. These are downloadable from this page. 

Children over the age of 5 and Adults can be referred to the service. They accept Self-referrals as well as referrals from GPs, Consultants, Health Professionals and Home Care staff. Referrals can be made by calling 01422 252086 or by sending the referral forms via email. 

 

Their aim is to provide professional advice, support and information on:

  • Recurrent urinary infections
  • Complex catheter issues 
  • Bladder retraining 
  • Pelvic floor muscle exercises
  • Chronic constipation 
  • Chronic diarrhoea 
  • Bowel management
  • Bladder or bowel leakage 
  • Enuresis (bedwetting)

Beechwood Community Health Centre, 60B Keighley Road, Halifax, HX2 8AL 

Todmorden Health Centre, Todmorden 

The service leaflet provides more information as to what happens at an appointment and where patients can purchase items to help with incontinence such as incontinence pads.
