AGENDA:
Focusing on mergers and collaborations between GP practices, our masterclasses will cover these key areas:
Commercial - We will discuss the spectrum of models available for collaborating in primary care against the backdrop of demographic, political and clinical pressures to deliver more primary care services at scale and efficiently. Providing an overview of some working examples from the market and the lessons learned. With our experience in the sector, we have developed some top tips for those considering at scale working and how to avoid the common pitfalls that result in an unsuccessful/inefficient merger including how to protect your contracts, engage patients, staff and third parties and develop a robust arrangement fit for the delivery of efficient primary care in the 21st century.
Premises - Most practice mergers also involve premises issues which need to be resolved at the same time as any new partnership is established. We will discuss the best ways in which to structure these arrangements and how to avoid common pitfalls.
Workforce – We will examine what you should look at when considering staff transfers, redundancies and changing terms.
In addition to our specialist lawyers, we are delighted to be joined by expert speakers from BHP Chartered Accountants (for the Leeds session) and MHA McIntyre Hudson (for the Birmingham and London sessions)
We expect some lively debate with presentations and workshops, and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to network with your peers. To register please click here .
